Fractional CFO

A CFO when you need one.
Without the full time cost.

Senior finance leadership for startups, scaleups and UK subsidiaries, for a few days a month. Clear numbers, confident decisions and a finance function investors trust, all built on books that are fully compliant.

You might need a CFO if

Sound familiar?

  • You are not sure how many months of cash you have left
  • Investors or the board want better reporting
  • You are planning to raise, buy or sell
  • You are hiring fast and costs are creeping up
  • Your evenings go on spreadsheets, not the business
What a fractional CFO does

Strategy and control, not just bookkeeping

Your accountant records what happened. A CFO helps you decide what happens next.

Cash

Cash flow and runway

A rolling 13 week cash forecast so you always know your runway and see shortfalls coming months ahead.

Planning

Budgets and forecasts

An annual budget and a linked profit, balance sheet and cash flow model you can use to test hiring, pricing and growth plans.

Reporting

Board and investor reporting

A monthly pack with the KPIs that matter, a clear commentary and budget versus actual, ready for every board meeting.

Funding

Fundraising support

Financial models, data rooms and answers to investor questions, so due diligence runs smoothly and quickly.

Control

Finance function and controls

A reliable month end close, approval controls, the right systems and records that are always audit ready.

Decisions

Commercial decisions

Pricing, margins, unit economics and scenario planning, so big decisions are backed by numbers, not instinct.

What you get every month

Questions

Common questions

How much time does a fractional CFO spend with us?

It depends on your stage and needs. Early stage businesses often need a monthly review and call, while growing businesses usually want regular days each month. We agree the time and a fixed fee upfront, and you can change it as you grow.

What is the difference between an accountant and a CFO?

An accountant makes sure your records and filings are correct and on time. A CFO uses those numbers to plan, forecast, raise money and guide decisions. With Ease Finance you can have both.

Can you work alongside our existing accountant?

Yes. We can work with your current bookkeeper or accountant, or take over bookkeeping and compliance so everything sits in one place.

Will you attend board and investor meetings?

Yes, in person in London or remotely. We prepare the finance pack and present the numbers alongside the founders.

Do you work with businesses outside London?

Yes. Most of our work is remote, so we support businesses across the UK and international groups with UK subsidiaries.
